Starlink Installation Melbourne & Victoria
Professional Starlink Installation
Fast, reliable satellite internet — professionally mounted, weatherproof-cabled and set up right, anywhere in Victoria. Even where the NBN can't reach.
Starlink Installation Across Melbourne & Victoria
Starlink delivers fast, low-latency satellite internet almost anywhere — but how well it performs comes down to how well it's installed. A dish with a partly obstructed sky view drops out. Cabling run through a window seal fails in the weather. A router left in one corner of the house leaves the other half with no coverage.
Peninsula Smart Care is a licensed electronic security and communications integrator with 20+ years of experience running cable, mounting equipment and building networks to commercial standards. We treat a Starlink installation the same way we treat a CCTV or access control install: proper mounting hardware, sealed penetrations, tidy weatherproof cable runs and a network that covers your whole property — not just the room the router lands in.
What We Install
From a single dish on a suburban roof to site-wide WiFi for a holiday park — designed, mounted and cabled properly.
Home & rural installation
Dish placement with a clear sky view, secure roof, eave or wall mounting, and cabling routed cleanly into the home — for suburban blocks, acreage and off-grid properties alike.
Roof, eave & pole mounting
The right mount for your building and sky view — ridge, eave, fascia, wall or free-standing pole — installed with proper hardware and sealed, weatherproof penetrations.
Business installation
Starlink as a primary connection or 4G/NBN failover for shops, offices, farms and worksites — with business-grade routing, VLANs and hardwired ethernet where it matters.
Holiday park & guest WiFi
Site-wide WiFi for holiday parks, caravan parks and lodges running on Starlink — outdoor access points, guest login portals and coverage to every cabin, site and common area.
Whole-property WiFi
Mesh and access-point networks designed around your floor plan and yard — so the connection your dish pulls down actually reaches every room, shed and outdoor area.
CCTV & security integration
We're security integrators first — so your cameras, access control, alarms and remote monitoring are designed to run reliably over the same Starlink connection.
Starlink Installation Cost
Every property is different, so we quote each job individually — but the price always comes down to the same four factors.
Mount type
A simple eave or fascia mount costs less than a ridge mount or a free-standing pole with a concrete footing.
Cable run
How far the cable travels from the dish to your router location, and how many wall or roof penetrations it needs.
Access & height
Single-storey homes are straightforward; two-storey buildings, steep roofs and difficult access take longer and may need extra equipment.
Network extras
Mesh WiFi, hardwired ethernet points, guest networks and failover routing add to the job — and usually add the most value.
Tell us about your property and we'll give you a fixed quote up front — no surprises on the day. Hardware (the Starlink kit itself) is purchased separately through Starlink; we supply mounting hardware, cabling and any networking equipment.
Is Starlink Right for Your Property?
Where it shines — and what we check before we drill a single hole.
Starlink is a great fit for
- Properties stuck on slow fixed-wireless or satellite NBN — rural blocks, farms and acreage
- Alpine lodges, holiday homes and holiday parks where fixed-line internet underdelivers in peak season
- Businesses that need a fast failover so EFTPOS, bookings and security keep running if the NBN drops
- New builds and sheds waiting on an NBN connection
- Anywhere the sky is open and the NBN isn't
What we check first
- Sky view — the dish needs a wide, unobstructed view; nearby trees, ridgelines and buildings all matter
- Mount location — the best spot for signal isn't always the easiest spot to cable; we balance both
- Cable route — sealed penetrations and protected runs, never a squashed window seal
- Your existing network — what's worth keeping, what's worth replacing, and how it all connects

Starlink Installation FAQs
How much does Starlink installation cost?
It depends on the mount type, the length and complexity of the cable run, roof height and access, and whether you add WiFi or networking upgrades at the same time. A simple single-storey eave mount is at the lower end; pole mounts and two-storey installs cost more. We provide a fixed quote up front after understanding your property — call 03 7504 7011 or use the form below.
How long does a Starlink installation take?
A standard residential installation — dish mounted, cabled and the network up and running — typically takes two to four hours. Pole mounts, long cable runs and multi-building properties take longer, and we'll tell you before we start.
Where can the dish be mounted?
On the roof ridge, eave, fascia or an external wall, or on a free-standing pole away from the building. The deciding factor is sky view — the dish needs a wide, unobstructed view of the sky to hold a reliable connection. We check obstructions before choosing a location.
Do you install Starlink in alpine and rural areas?
Yes — the High Country is one of our core service areas. We install Starlink in Bright, Myrtleford, Mount Beauty, Tawonga, Harrietville and the surrounding valleys, and at Falls Creek, Mount Hotham and Dinner Plain, alongside metropolitan Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.
Can Starlink run my CCTV, security and guest WiFi?
Yes. We design the network so cameras, access control, alarms and guest WiFi all run reliably over the Starlink connection — including remote viewing from your phone. As security integrators, this is exactly the combination we install most.
